СТАНДАРТ КОЛЛИ КОРОТКОШЕРСТНОГО (FCI № 296 от 19.10.1988 Перевод РКФ)
Происхождение: Великобритания.
ОБЩЕЕ ВПЕЧАТЛЕНИЕ: Собака интеллигентная, бдительная и активная. Полна достоинства, которое подчеркивается отличным строением корпуса, при этом ни одна деталь не может быть негармоничной. В общем очень работоспособна.
ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКА: Строение корпуса отличается силой и активностью, оно свободно от неуклюжести и какого бы то ни было следа грубости. Выражение имеет очень важное значение. Если рассматривать относящиеся к этому характеристики, то они складываются полной уравновешенностью и правильным сочетанием черепа и морды, размером, формой, цветом и поставом глаз и правильно посаженными и правильно держащимися ушами.
ТЕМПЕРАМЕНТ: Веселый и дружелюбный, никогда не нервозный и неагрессивный.
ГОЛОВА И ЧЕРЕП: Особенности головы имеют большое значение; она должна рассматриваться в соотношении с ростом собаки. При взгляде спереди или сбоку голова похожа на хорошо притуплённый, чисто вырезанный клин с ровными внешними линиями. Череп плоский и постепенно сужается по бокам ровными линиями от ушей до кончика черной мочки носа, без выраженных скуловых костей и без впечатления морды тонкой или острой. В профиль верхняя линия черепа и морды проходят параллельно и прямо и имеют одинаковую длину. Они разделяются слабым, однако ощутимым переходом ото лба к морде. Средняя точка между внутренними углами глаз [одновременно центр правильно расположенного перехода ото лба к морде) представляет собой центр гармоничной головы. Окончание ровной, хорошо скругленной морды тупое, никогда не квадратное.
Нижняя челюсть мощная и хорошо сформированная. Глубина черепа от бровей до нижней линии нижней челюсти никогда не может быть чрезмерной (в целом череп не глубокий). Мочка носа принципиально черная.
ГЛАЗА: Очень важный пункт, они придают собаке миловидное выражение. Среднего размера (ни в коем случае не очень маленькие), немного косо поставленнные, миндалевидные, темно-карие, исключая блю-мерль, у которых глаза часто (один или оба полностью или
один или оба частично) голубые или голубо-пятнистые. Выражение полно интеллигентности, с живым и бдительным взглядом, когда собака прислушивается.
УШИ: Умеренно большие, широкие у основания, поставленные не слишком близко друг к другу, но и не слишком далеко. В состоянии покоя заложенные назад, однако когда внимание возбуждено, они перемещаются вперед и держатся полуприподнятыми; то есть примерно две трети уха держатся вертикально, а верхняя треть нависает естественным образом вперед ниже горизонтальной линии перегиба.
МОРДА | ПРИКУС: Зубы хорошего размера. Челюсти крепкие, с отличным равномерным и комплектным ножницеобразным прикусом, означающим, что верхний ряд резцов без зазора заходит перед нижним и зубы стоят вертикально в челюсти.
ШЕЯ: Мускулистая, сильная, соответствующей длины, хорошо изогнута.
ПЕРЕДНИЕ КОНЕЧНОСТИ: Лопатки наклонно поставленные с хорошим углом сочленений. Передние конечности прямые и мускулистые, при этом локти не вывернуты ни внутрь, ни наружу, с умеренно крепким костяком. Передние конечности чуть "мясистые", запястные суставы гибкие и без признаков слабости.
КОРПУС: В соотношении с высотой в холке чуть длиннее; спина прямая и крепкая, поясница слегка выпуклая. Ребра с хорошим сводом. Глубокая грудь, при этом за плечами достаточно широкая.
ЗАДНИЕ КОНЕЧНОСТИ: Бедра мускулистые; голени сухие и жилистые, коленные суставы с хорошо выраженными углами. Скакательные суставы - низко расположенные и сильные.
ХВОСТ: Длинный, конец позвоночника достает по крайней мере до скакательных суставов. В покое держится низко, со слегка изогнутым концом. В возбужденном состоянии может держаться выше, однако никогда не над спиной.
ДВИЖЕНИЯ: Движения являются непременным характерным признаком породы. Хорошо сложенная собака никогда не выворачивает локти, однако передние лапы в движении ставятся относительно узко. Скованные, перекрещивающиеся или перекатывающиеся движения крайне не желательны. При взгляде сзади задние конечности от скакательных суставов до земли стоят параллельно. При взгляде сбоку - движения плавные. Задние конечности сильные с сильным толчком. Желателен соответственно размашистый шаг, который должен быть легким и незатрудненным.
ШЕРСТЬ: Короткая, плоская, покровный волос жесткой фактуры, с плотным подшерстком. Не триммингуется и не стрижется.
ОКРАС: Три признанных окраса: соболиный-белый, трехцветный и блю-мерль.
Соболиный: любой оттенок от светлого золота до яркого макагони или оттененный соболиным. Светло-соломенный или кремовый крайне нежелательны.
Трехцветный, преимущественно черный с сочными огненными отметинами на голове и конечностях. Ржавый налет на покровном волосе крайне нежелателен.
Блю-мерль: преимущественно чистый, серебристо-голубой, с черными пятнами или черно-мраморным рисунком. Яркие огненные отметины желательны, однако их отсутствие допускается. Большие черные пятна, шиферный окрас или "ржавый налет" как на покровном волосе, так и на подшерстке, крайне нежелательны.
Белые отметины: все названные окрасы могут иметь больше и меньше типичных для колли белых отметин. Преимущество имеет следующий рисунок: полностью или частично белый воротник, белые грудь, конечности и лапы, белый кончик хвоста. На морде и/или на черепе должно быть маленькое белое пятно.
РОСТ: высота в холке: кобели - 56 - 61 см; суки - 51 - 56 см.
ВЕС: кобели: 20,5-29,5 кг; суки - 18,0 - 25,0 кг
НЕДОСТАТКИ: Любое отклонение от вышеназванных пунктов должно рассматриваться как недостаток, оценка которого должна находиться в точном соответствии со степенью этого отклонения
Примечание: У кобелей должны быть два явных, нормально развитых семенника, которые полностью находятся в мошонке.
STANDARD OF THE SMOOTH COLLIE (FCI No.296/19.10.1988)

Characteristics:
Physical structure on the lines of strength and activity, free from cloddiness and with no trace of coarseness. Expression most important. In considering relative values it is obtained by perfect balance and combination of skull and foreface, size, shape, colour and placement of eyes, correct position and carriage of ears.
General Appearance:
The Collie should instantly appeal as a dog of great beauty, standing with impassive dignity, with no part out of proportion to the whole.
Temperament:
Gay and friendly, never nervous nor aggressive.
Head and Skull:
Head properties of great importance, must be considered in proportion to size of dog. Viewed from front or side, head resembles a well blunted clean wedge, being smooth in outline. Skull flat. Sides taper gradually and smoothly from ears to end of black nose, without prominent cheek bones or pinched muzzle. Viewed in profile, top of skull and top of muzzle lie in two parallel straight lines of equal length divided by a slight, but perceptible stop or break. A mid-point between inside corner of eyes (which is centre of a correctly placed stop) is centre of balance in length of head. End of smooth, well rounded muzzle blunt, never square. Under jaw strong, clean cut. Depth of skull from brow to underpart of jaw never excessive (deep through). Nose always black.
Eyes:
Very important feature giving sweet expression. Medium size (never very small) set somewhat obliquely, of almond shape and dark brown colour, except in the case of blue merles when eves are frequently (one or both, or part of one or both) blue or blue-flecked. Expression full of intelligence, with quick, alert look when listening.
Ears:
Moderately large, wider at base, and placed not too close together nor too much on side of head. When in repose carried thrown back, but on alert brought forward and carried semi-erect, that is, with approximately two-thirds of ear standing erect, top third tipping forward naturally, below horizontal.
Mouth:
Teeth of good size. Jaws strong with a perfect, regular and complete scissor bite, i.e. upper teeth closely overlapping lower teeth and set square to the jaws.
Neck:
Muscular, powerful, of fair length, well arched.
Forequarters:
Shoulders sloping and well angulated. Forelegs straight and muscular, neither in nor out at elbows, with a moderate amount of bone. Forearm somewhat fleshy, pasterns showing flexibility without weakness.
Body:
Slightly long compared with height, back firm with slight rise over loins; ribs well sprung, chest deep, fairly broad behind shoulders
Hindquarters:
Hind legs muscular at thighs, clean and sinewy below, with well bent stifles. Hocks well let down and powerful.
Feet:
Oval; soles well padded. Toes arched and close together. Hind feet slightly less arched.
Gait:
Distinctly characteristic in this breed. A sound dog is never out at the elbow, yet moves with front feet comparatively close together. Plaiting, crossing or rolling are highly undesirable. Hind legs from hock joint to ground, when viewed from rear to be parallel but not too close; when viewed from side, action is smooth. Hind legs powerful with plenty of drive. A reasonably long stride is desirable and should be light and appear effortless.
Tail:
Long with bone reaching at least to hock joint. Carried low when quiet but with slight upward swirl at tip. May be carried gaily when excited, but never over back.
Coat:
Short, flat, top coat of harsh texture, with very dense undercoat. Not trimmed or clipped.
Colour:
Three recognised colours: Sable and White, Tricolour and Blue Merle.
Sable: Any shade of light gold to rich mahogany or shaded sable. Light straw or cream coloured highly undesirable.
Tricolour: Predominantly black with rich tan markings about legs and head. A rusty tinge in topcoat highly undesirable.
Blue Merle: Predominantly clear, silvery blue, splashed and marbled with black. Rich tan markings preferred, but absence should not be penalised. Large black markings, slate colour, or rusty tinge either of top or undercoat are highly undesirable.
White Markings: All above should carry typical white Collie markings to a greater or lesser degree. Following markings are favourable - white collar, full or part, white shirt, legs and feet, white tail tip. A blaze may be carried on muzzie or skull, or both.
Weight and Size:
Dogs: Dogs 56-61 cms (22-24 ins) ai shoulder; Bitches: bitches 51-56 cms (20-22 ins).
Dogs: 20.5-29.5 kg (45-65 lbs) Bitches: 18.0-25.0 kg (40-55 lbs).
Faults:
Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree.
Note: Male animals should have two apparently normal testicles fully descended into the scrotum.

The obvious difference between the breeds is the coat length, which in the case of the Smooth is short and flat with a harsh texture on a dense undercoat. Colour range is the same although one tends to see more blue merles in Smooths than in Roughs. As a result the blue and blue-flecked eye is more characteristically seen in Smooths. Both breeds standards call for a gay, friendly disposition without a trace of nervousness or aggression.

Appears as gifted with intelligence, alertness and activity. Stands with dignity governed by perfect anatomical formation, with no part out of proportion, giving appearance of working capability.
